That’s the one I always thought about it in later seasons when people started complainin g about it being staged. As if that shot of Clarkson eating ice cream that was perfectly framed with the cliff in the background wasn’t staged.

I recently saw the live version, two guys were transporting a box truck on a trailer. They managed to rip the roof off on an overpass

D’oh!

My home town had a deliberately low bridge under a rail road (deliberate to keep trucks from going that way), but about twice a year somebody would still rip their truck/trailer’s roof off under it . I never saw it happen live, but I saw the damage in person many times.

I was driving a rental truck yesterday when I came to a bridge with 11’8” signs. Hmm, big sticker on the dash said 12’1” required.

Not wanting to be on the 11’8 hall of fame I rolled right up to it, got out and checked. Turned out somebody was lying because there was plenty of room.

I still took it extremely slowly.
